Up for auction is a vintage 1923 Yankee No. 30A North Bros. Manufacturing Company ratcheting spiral screwdriver with a wood handle.
The screwdriver has a patent date of December 11, 1923, with the initial patent application date of November 2, 1897, also embossed on the metal.
The device comes with only one bit. It’s unclear if the bit can come off. The screwdriver is in used but working condition.
The screwdriver measures 13 inches in its closed position. The wood handle is 1 ½ inches at its widest point.
This vintage item belonged to my grandfather. Now it’s time to sell it to a deserving buyer, so I can clean out my garage…one item at a time
