Rare SPECIAL Dog Postcard Wire Fox Terrier & Child + Poem Holland c1930s

This card was purchased in Amsterdam, Netherlands by my friend, Lotje. She scours all the great cities of Europe for unusual and beautiful vintage and antique postcards.
This postcard was shipped from The Netherlands to the USA by Lotje.
On the front of this vintage postcard is a photo portrait of a delightful Fox Terrier and a beautiful little girl.   Under the portrait is a poem in Dutch.   The poem has a deeper message and one that every dog lover can identiful with.  Here is an English translation of that beautiful poem:
"
Friend of my youth! On hills and in valleys
how happy we played.
On and on they always saw us wandering together.
Your love, your faithfulness was undivided.
I don't forget and see many times,
friend of my youth, your lovely image.
"
This poem presents a nostalgic memory by the little girl who is now a woman.   She is looking at the portrait of herself and her much loved dog painted many years before...and thinking the words of the poem above.   Memories like these transcend language or time. On the back is no handwriting, no stamp or postmark.  The postcard was never mailed.  It was originally made in the Netherlands but I do not know the year.  My guess would be 1930s but it could well be older than that.
Measurements are approximately: 3.5" x 5.5" so this is a standard size postcard.   Aside from some signs of surface wear, this card is still easy to see and appreciate!
