This card was purchased in Amsterdam, Netherlands by my friend, Lotje. She scours all the great cities of Europe for unusual and beautiful vintage and antique postcards.
This postcard was shipped from The Netherlands to the USA by Lotje.
On the front of this unusual vintage postcard is an art portrait of a delightful Wire Fox or possibly a Wire Jack Russell Terrier puppy.  The pup is sitting in what appears to be a colorful ladies hat box.
On the back is a handwritten message of congratulations in Dutch, an address in the Netherlands, a Nederland 2 cent blue stamp and a 1947 postmark.
Measurements are approximately: 3.5" x 5.5" so this is a standard size postcard.   Aside from very few signs of surface wear, this card is still easy to see and appreciate!
