    Description

    Original Zdani cabinet photograph of the opera power couple at the time of their wedding in 1889 and could well be a wedding photograph. This is a complete lacquer style cabinet photograph.
    Zdani was the official photographer of the Imperial Mariinsky Theatre and states as much on the verso of the photograph.
    An unusual early photograph we have not previously encountered.
