    Description

    Modernist Style Mexican Sterling Silver Set Of 4 Ashtrays. 2 5/8 “ diameter ( a sliver over 3” counting ledge or slot where cigarette rests.) my scales showed the total weight of the four to be 75.85 grams. On bottom side Hecho En Mexico D.E. ( the D.E. I take mean that they are made in Mexico City.Also marked sterling and .925. I cannot make out what the symbol underneath is. Looks a little like a vase with lilies to me. On one side of the symbol is an I and on the other side a C. I can not figure out who the maker is. In very good condition. There is a tiny ding on the edge of one of the ashtrays ( pictured)There are light scratches and light tarnish consistent with their age and use.
