    Description

    Original Charles Bergamasco photograph of Medea as Tatyana in  Yevgeny Onegin during the letter scene. c. early 1890's, before 1896.
    This photograph was removed from the cabinet mount for placement in an album and measures 4" x 5.75". Whilst we have had this image in the past and knew it was Bergamasco, it is also embossed on the bottom right. As Bergamasco passed away in 1896 and his studio closed, this photograph would be prior to that year. All said the image which is one of the lacquered series of images Bergamasco pioneered in Russia is in marvelous condition.
