    Description

    Vintage Lot 5 Mini-Ashtrays,
    1851-1858 Brazilian 1000 Reis Coins
    Written on one side of the coins - "
    PETRUS II D.G.CONST. IMP.ET PERP.BRAS.DEF.
    " and the "1000".
    On the other side is "
    IN HOC SI GNO VINCES"
    , with the Brazilian Empire coat-of-arms.
    Stamped .900 "Sterling" Silver on the lip of the tray.
    Sterling is .925 silver, these are .900 silver. The 1000 Reis coins are .917 silver.
    Each ashtray is delicately adorned and hand-crafted by the artisan.
    Coins are marked 1851, 1853, 1855, 1856, 1858
    Each combo ashtray-coin weighs in at about 1.1 Ounce.
    Condition: Some tarnish on the ashtray, but not much on the coins.
    This can be easily cleaned with white distilled vinegar + baking soda, but we will leave them in original condition.
    Very rare, likely a unique application. A very nice collectible set.
