Description
Original, studio-issued, 8x10 glossy 1930’s portrait photo of Jascha Heifetz, regarded as the greatest violin virtuoso since Paganini with many considering him the greatest violinist of all time. Heifetz played a featured role in the movie “They Shall Have Music” (1939), the 1947 film “Carnegie Hall” and the 1951 “Of Men and Music”. New York agency stamp on the reverse side along with old residue from a (missing) snipe across bottom edge (no bleed through). Near excellent condition with age browning that gives the photo a dramatic patina, and a few specks of surface wear. Please see our other auctions for a variety of (primarily) movie memorabiliaand happy to combine postage on multiple wins.
