    Description

    Slightly trimmed original Charles Bergamasco carte de visite photograph of the legendary Italian Verdi baritone sans beard around the time of the "Forza" premiere in 1862.
    Graziani (1828-1901)
    made his stage debut in 1851 in Piceno. In addition to his singing throughout Italy, he appeared in Paris from 1853-1861, London Covent Garden from 1855-1880 and St. Petersburg from 1861-1871. On November 10, 1862 he created the role of Don Carlo in the World Premiere in St. Petersburg of Verdi's opera, "La Forza Del Destino". He was also one of Verdi's finest interpreters of his baritone roles of his time.
